Occidental Oil – The Construction of Piper Alpha

1964/67 The Building of the Tay Road Bridge and its effects on the surrounding community.

1972/76 A film about Occidental’s major oil find in the North Sea. It’s discovery by their drilling rig, the building of the sub-sea structure at Ardersier to support the platform(Piper Alpa) and its extraction of oil through an under-sea pipe line to its terminal on the Orkney Isle of Flotta.
