Is the personal account of a Scots women who hit the world headlines in the 1930’s during the Spanish Civil war. Hailed the Scarlet Pimpernel, black listed by the Spanish authorities, constantly under surveillance of Stalin’s secret police, Ethel MacDonald’s story ranks amongst other women war heroes such as ‘La Pasionara’ and the British secret agent ‘Odette’.
